Mgr. Tomáš Bozó

I was born in Lučenec and ever since my early childhood I have always had a close relationship with the English language which was only strengthened after I started reading in English. I began studying English language and Literature in 2008 and graduated in 2013. When I first began my studies, I was still unsure whether I wanted to become a teacher, but the years spent at KLIŠ convinced me that it was the right path for me.

Today, I am an English teacher at Gymnázium Párovska 1 Nitra and even though the work isn’t easy, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Besides the skills and knowledge necessary to become a successful teacher, our school also taught me another important lesson – that a teacher must have a “human side” and that by showing compassion and being a positive role model, you can give your students so much more than just education.

I’ve always been very fond of literature and my studies introduced me to many amazing books which I would not have found otherwise and showed me how to delve deeper into literary works. This is important to me, because besides teaching I also write fiction in English. I’ve managed to get a few of my short stories published and currently I am attempting to finish my first book.
